What continues to amaze (and sadden me) is that there are so many AMERICAN citizens willing to sign up for this job --- knowing what their main objective is....it should give citizens great comfort that there are police who SAY they would never fire on their fellow citizens, but do it every day.
ReplyDeleteI bet they (like cops) think they look totally bad-ass and supremely intimidating in those all-black military storm trooper get ups. It NOT the image that police and other armed enforcers should have in a republic, but it would look great in the Soviet Union or North Korea....
lmclain, I too am totally staggered at the number of citizens who voluntarily support these actions by participating. Where in the name of freedom has America gone?
