A planned show of support for a biker who was severely injured in a wild chase on the West Side Highway was a bust Wednesday night, as only 10 cyclists showed up.
The crew was planning to assemble 100 bikers in East New York and ride all the way to St Luke’s Hospital where Edwin Mieses, 32, is in a medically-induced coma.
But police vans, flatbed trucks, and motorcycles were waiting for the gang to show up. About two dozen rode to the meeting area, but some had gotten texts that the cops were waiting and only 10 actually stopped.

half of those bikes had no plates and there were quads driving on the streets which is illegal.....WHERE WERE NYPD???
ReplyDeleteAnswer this -- in New York City (and in Manhattan, no less!) where you can't walk down a street or drive on a road without getting your picture taken (and stored forever) by the ubiquitous surveillance system (and not just once, either), how did a gang of motorcycle punks chase an SUV for FIFTY BLOCKS (!!), weaving through traffic, cutting cars off, driving between cars, and finally trapping that SUV (how many informer citizens broke a finger calling the police on their cell ?), then smashing his windows and beating and cutting him in front of his family, not attract ONE COP? Not ONE COP was there or even in the vicinity! In Manhattan! But those camera's are for our "protection", right? So I wonder, does that guy feel protected now? I would have LOVED it if the driver, after being trapped, just jumped out of his car and emptied 6, 8, or 16 rounds into those sissies. I guess he couldn't because New York puts citizens in prison for defending themselves....because, supposedly, THEY will "protect" you. Keep carrying a weapon. To hell with asking some politician or cop for permission to protect yourself.
