A Viewer Notes: Burger King - Civic Ave - CLOSED??
On my way to the Post Office this morning (wasted trip) I note that Burger King – Civic Ave. is closed with barriers blocking access to the parking lot. Another local business bites the dust.
That location was disgusting inside. The rug was horribly stained and always sticky. The whole place needed to be torn down and built from scratch. Nasty.
While they're remodeling it, maybe they can hire workers who have a little more pep in their step? They should put a 10-15 minute sign out there, and that's IF you're the 1st car.
Burger King, Its you fault. If you had enrolled in the gull card program, and paid the monthly commission to the U, you would have been able to depend on the mommy / daddy money. Note that there are at least thirty businesses around the U kingdom and they are on board!
Can't wait for it to reopen, I drive from work in North Salisbury all the way over the one on Mt. Hermon because they never screw up my order and have the best customer service.
The North Burger King has ALWAYS had HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I promised 5 years ago I wouldn't be back after many, many incident and I've stuck to that promise.
South BK usually get the order right but is s.... sssss..... sllll..... oooow.
10:48 The best burger is the one I grind myself, from the cow I raised myself. No thanks to all the smoke blowing restaurants around here buying different grades of sysco and holt crap food.
actually the best burger in town is at J T's Grill on Mount Hermon Road! Great burger, great price!! No I don't work there just know what a great burger is!
I had heard through the chamber of commerce it was a case of bankruptcy. The city was now responsible for the outside up keep of the grounds and building. Burger King corporation has been in financial trouble and closing US stores since 2009. Go on their corporate web site and its all there. If a franchisee can't make their payments to Bk, they will take it back or close them down.
nope they are tearing it and the old vet building down and rebuilding, actually improving the site
ReplyDeleteGood job Mayer Jimbo. I heard Lorch laid off several employees. I also hear K&L microwave is struggling . but our mayor and governor are clueless.
ReplyDeleteBurger King is a "local business?" LOL.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they are going to be working on the building. It looks like they are doing a renovation.
ReplyDeleteIt's not closed, it's being remodeled....you need to change the headline, it's misleading.
ReplyDelete2:07, its a franchise owned by locals.
ReplyDelete2:07 - Yes, this franchise is locally owned.

ReplyDeleteanonymous 2:14, there is NOTHING wrong with the title. Is it closed, YES. There is a question mark AFTER the title for that exact reason.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great thing they are remodeling. I personally LOVE Burger King, for a fast food burger, anyway.
The one in north Salisbury is the pits and I haven't been back to Burger King because it sucks so bad.
The title stays, period. It's 100% accurate.
Actually you used 2 question marks which makes it a perfect title. I completely understood it.
ReplyDeletesomeone told me it was going to be a frozen yogurt place????

ReplyDeleteWhere is the Silver Saddle? I'm sorry, I haven't heard about it. Thanks

ReplyDeleteIt used to be a good spot, but lately the service is terrible. I stopped going there because of that.
ReplyDeleteEVO by far has the best burger in town!!!
ReplyDeleteNastiest & most unclean BK around. It needs to be torn down and redone.
ReplyDelete10:48 The best burger is the one I grind myself, from the cow I raised myself. No thanks to all the smoke blowing restaurants around here buying different grades of sysco and holt crap food.

ReplyDeleteJoe - what gives? This makes the 3rd fast food joint closing in the past two weeks.
ReplyDelete1. KFC - South 13
2. Quiznos - North 13
3. BK - East 50
Even the food joints are starting to fold around here.
