Seven people — including a 15-year-old boy who was killed — were shot in West Baltimore on Saturday night as police grapple with a recent wave of shootings with multiple victims.
As of Sunday, nonfatal shootings were up in Baltimore by about 23 percent over the same time last year, according to data available through the city's website. Recent weeks have been marked with what Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts dubbed "cluster" shootings, including a quadruple shooting in Pigtown that killed two and a triple shooting in East Baltimore that injured a 7-year-old boy.
"Seven people shot in a cluster is outrageous for the city and it's unacceptable for us as a whole," Batts said near the scene shortly after Saturday night's shooting, which happened in the 1500 block of W. Fayette St. Police said Deshaun Jones, who turned 15 last month, was killed, while six adults were expected to survive their gunshot wounds.

Joe,
ReplyDeleteNo news media will look into this, but last week there was a raid on a residence in the Colbern woods area. The home raided was the Sellers house, by 33 cops from the Maryland state police, Wicomico county drug tasks force, Salisbury PD. They smashed in the doors with a No-Knock Search Warrant. All of this yet no news report what so ever, not a pep, did they not find anything is why it is kept quiet? Did they screw up?? Have a look into it Joe.
Thanks.
They are all black victims. Shot by black wanna-be thugs. so, even though there were children shot, they are still just black people. Therefore, no big deal. Per Jesses Jackson an 'ol Al Sharpton. Besides, neither one of those freak show has-beens would DARE to go to inner-city Baltimore. Some of the people they advocate for would put 6 rounds in their head and steal their wallet. Its much safer to find a fake white guy and start a riot over a single (wanna-be thug, too) black kid getting shot in a fight. Thirteen in one day? Statistics.
ReplyDeleteThat Sellers woman is a nurse, I'll bet she took some drugs home for her drug addict son!

ReplyDeleteno media coverage = ongoing investigation = those arrested are setting others up to be arrested.
Stricter gun laws would fix this, right? BS
ReplyDeleteMr Lyndon Baines Johnson and our continued LIBERAL congresses through the years have created this problem. The inner cities are pathetic.
Drugs, gangs and black on black crime.
Great job Baltimore! Way to go! High crime, crooked politicians and state officials, etc! Be proud western shore, be proud.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to live in Pigtown I'd be doing some shooting too.
ReplyDeleteWatched a news show Sunday that features a black commentator who could not have put it any better. A huge number of black people have to get over the victim mentality before they come forward. Dr. Ben Carson said as much. I know lovely black people who are really as confused by the lack of self respect in the inner city communities as white people are. The gentleman went on to say that if you get 4 people in the inner city living on welfare of all types and they pool resources they can live in a room and afford $200 sneakers and iphones and the like. There is absolutely no incentive to get off welfare for a lot of people. If you have no self respect you will not feel bad about being on the government take. I know a person who was down and out at one time who accepted food stamps but was off of them as soon as possible because it was an embarrassment. I does not appear to embarrass anyone today. Where is your self dignity. It is learned behavior. If momma was on the take then it makes it more acceptable is all I can figure. I think the only reason that these programs continue is that if they stop them the gov knows there will be bloodshed in the streets.. because people (of all colors) feel entitled to them now. Sad.. sad.. state of affairs.
ReplyDeleteBlack crime is out of control. Europeans are warned on their flights to America to avoid the cities because of black crime. Australia is more than a little upset. Time for the media and liberal politicians to quit pretending it isn't happening, the people know better.
ReplyDeleteWhat a total BS statement, I fly to Europe frequently and they have never made such a warning on a flight back to the US.
ReplyDeleteThe 4 Pigtown victims were white. The suspect who is in custody is black. The 2 who were killed had a young child together. Child was found sitting next to the mother rubbing her back. Father died while at the hospital. Father's mother and a family friend were also wounded. Other were "staying" in the residence and were not injured. Shooting was over a $10 debt.
ReplyDeleteUltimately what lead to these victims becoming victims was their high risk lifestyle, obviously generational as the mother herself has had difficulties with the law most likely stemming from substance abuse.
2:50 My flight was Lufstansia from Frankfurt, Germany to BWI. Cant say I fly frequently but I was there when the video was shown.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised that this stuff is still considered "news" in Baltimore. Over the last 20 years or so they've pretty much accepted and become complacent about break-ins, car theft, armed robbery, drug sales, muggings, beatings, home invasions, flash-mob shoplifting, and many more of what is considered now "little nuisance crimes". Numerous people getting shot in Baltimore? It's sort of like reading a Baltimore Sun headline: "Seven People Received Parking Tickets This Weekend in Downtown Baltimore".
ReplyDeleteBaltimore: The Next Detroit (maybe after Chicago).
Visit Charm City at your own risk.
Take notes: It's coming to a city near you. Soon.
I live in this country and I wouldn't go to Baltimore after dark. I know better.
ReplyDeleteDon't cheat your dealer. That was stupid.
ReplyDeleteWhere are Jessie, Al, and the main stream media for Deshaun Jones, the 15 yr old who was killed?
