While it seems the Mayor and Council were upset because Salisbury News delivered a ton of comments against driving on the beach, the Council chose to drop the subject for good.
The Council never received any messages stating individuals supported the idea, so why the heck did it get brought up in the first place. It was Councilman Joe Mitrecic who created the idea out of this air. It just scares me that with all the problems were seeing in this country nowadays that we would waste our time coming up with things like this simply because some don't have anything better to do.
Dear Ocean City Council, Welcome To Ocean City News.
What's going on is they are searching for way (this idea, parking meters)to pay for their out of control spending and borrowing. They promised city employees the moon without a thought of how to pay for it.
ReplyDeleteThese city employees need to do some soul searching. A lot are parents and in their minds they have convinced themselves they are great parents. But they aren't. They are the absolute worst kind of parents any child could have. The bottom of the barrel no better than welfare kings and queens. All this borrowing and more going out then coming in is ruining it for the next generation all because the parents now are either too dumb or too greedy to make some sacrifices.
There should even be no buildings on the beach.
ReplyDeleteRight, just another way to collect more taxes. If the truth comes out, OC businesses are way down in income and way up in expenses, ergo tax collections follow suit.
