The local economy is actually worse than the article reads. Please bare in mind that these reporters are from the western side of the bay and so do not have the inside information like our locals.
SBYnews has been INTENSELY covering these events throughout the recession - and soon this information will garner NATIONAL ATTENTION!!!
Stay tuned!
We can thank all the libtards and O'malley.
ReplyDeleteNational attention? Come on, while it is and should be a story in the local news here, there are plenty of parts of the country WAY worse off than the Eastern Shore.
ReplyDeleteI have said before and I'll say it again, SBYnews is the best thing to ever happen to our region.
ReplyDeleteFor so many years, things were unchecked. Then along comes SBYnews - and BINGO - politicians are finally being held accountable.
THANKS SBYnews for shining a light on things.
Signed
LIFE LONG RESIDENT
Until there are TERM LIMITS not just elections and you have professional politicians, it is a slippery slope. Does not even take into account. Dumb voters that are on the dole.
ReplyDeleteThis tends to speak of the quality of representatives we've sent to Annapolis, AND surely proves that Annapolis cares nothing of the Eastern Shore.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for secession now.
Who would want to locate where the chief elected officials are Pollitt and Ireton, not to mention O'Malley???
ReplyDeleteJust read today that Delaware is on the brink of another recession thanks to it's small and volatile economy.
ReplyDeleteTo 7:43 - I would be so sure about your downplaying National Attention. In case you haven't noticed - SBY has one of the highest crime rates in the country per population. And Wicomico does have the highest foreclosures rate in Maryland. And yes - there have been massive exodus of businesses from our landscape. Detroit might be worse - but Salisbury-Wicomico is not far behind and it looks to be getting worse.
