DSP News Release:  Detectives Conducting a Death Investigation near Dagsboro

Location:  30000 block of Power Plant Road, Dagsboro, DE

Date of Occurrence:   Monday September 23, 2013 at approximately 5:50 p.m.

Victim:

• 52 year old male of Dagsboro, DE (Deceased)

Resume:

Dagsboro, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently conducting an investigation into the suspicious death of a 52 year old Dagsboro man.

Troopers were called to the residence in the 30000 block of Power Plant Road shortly before 6:00 p.m. for a report of a subject that had been stabbed.  Upon arriving at the house, a 52 year old male had been located with wounds to his upper torso and pronounced dead at the scene by Sussex County Medics.

The body of the victim, whose name has not been released, was removed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

The investigation is active and ongoing as troopers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death, as well as conduct interviews and gather evidence.
