SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Police, in partnership with Wicomico County Public Works, the Maryland State Highway Administration, the City of Salisbury, Salisbury Police and the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, have issued a traffic advisory on Camden Avenue between College Avenue and Pine Bluff Road from 6 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, August 22, as over 1,000 new students and their parents come to campus for Move-In Day.
Access into the University’s Camden Parking Lot F (Blackwell lot), Camden Parking Lot E (Devilbiss lot), Route 13 Lot A and Dogwood Parking Lot D, as well as the Wayne Street parking garage, will be restricted to move-in traffic and deliveries only. All others should seek parking in the Dresser parking lots.
At the Camden and College avenues intersection, all southbound traffic will be detoured to Route 13. Those wishing to enter the Devilbiss and Blackwell parking lots on campus should turn from Route 13 onto Dogwood Drive. Traffic will be directed northbound to those lots from the Dogwood Drive and Camden Avenue intersection.
Non-University northbound traffic on Camden Avenue from the Fruitland/Eden areas that morning also will be detoured onto Route 13 at the Dogwood Drive and Camden Avenue intersection. To save time, northbound traffic may want to detour onto Route 13 one intersection sooner, at Pine Bluff Road, or use Riverside Drive until the detour ends at 2 p.m. Traffic should be flowing normally by early afternoon.
For more information call University Police at 410-543-6222.

O Lord, here comes the noise, the beer parties, all the extra parking, no peace for homeowners.
ReplyDeleteAnd without SU this town would be dead.
ReplyDelete3:36 Homeowners had a choice to move next to the university, and they have a choice to move away from it too. I can't see why anyone would even want to live over that way. They can deal with it.
ReplyDeleteand the only attractive women in Salisbury.
ReplyDeleteTo bad they're being trained to be libtards 4:03!
DeleteAnd the money that keeps this town alive.
ReplyDelete336-Without those students your homes would be worth much, much less, and your businesses would do much, much less business.
ReplyDeleteWithout the college, Salisbury is dead.
Why should I care. I'm retired and don't need the smart *ss punk's wonderful contributions to MY town!
DeleteAvoid the area, even College Avenue! Just came through there and with the road work, repaying, it's already congested!!!
ReplyDeleteIt does not matter if you live in the area or not...Some of the CHILDREN that attend the University make a bad name for the rest of the Adult males and females who attend...THESE YOUNG CHILDREN will shoplift, PARTY till the SUN rises, steal valuables out of your yard, write stuff on your car...SO NO, NO, NO, you do not have to live near Salisbury University Correctional Institution to be affected as noted above...
ReplyDelete639-Blame everything on the college students, those that are working to better themselves. Look around, what does Salisbury have to offer the locals? Meaningless employment in retail, where they can't earn enough to stay above water. Where a culture of drugs has infested all walks of life on the Shore.
ReplyDeleteI partied til the sun came up, now hold down a 6 figure income off the Shore. My latest job offer from back home came in last year, offered me 50K a year. I make well more than twice that from a company that hired me at SU's job fair a decade ago. The homegrown talent is leaving every year. That's not something to praise.
I agree 100% and it's people like 3:36 and 2:24 that keep pushing us to the western shore. Enjoy your brain drain eastern shore.
Delete4:07-True,but they'll be re- paying that money for the rest of their lives.Has'nt anyone ever heard of job placement?
