Murder or Mercy? KY Man Claims He Shot Wife to End Her Suffering

A Kentucky man who is facing a murder charge claims that he killed his wife after she asked him to do so. Ernest Chris Chumbley, 48, calmly called 911 after shooting his 44-year-old wife, Virginia, in the face three times.

He later told police that Virginia, who was battling cancer, asked him to kill her to end her pain.

    The multiple shots will send his tail to jail. A mercy killing can be done with a single bullet, multiple shots points to rage/domestic violence incident.
