ANNAPOLIS, MD (August 2, 2013) – On Monday, August 5, Governor Martin O’Malley, joined by Lt. Governor Anthony Brown and County Executive Isiah Leggett, will announce a major transportation investment package for Montgomery County that will create jobs, reduce congestion, and improve pedestrian safety. The event also will include a major announcement regarding the Purple Line.
Our better choices are moving us forward to a 21st century transportation network. Working together with the General Assembly, we have guaranteed a sustainable transportation funding source that will support more than 57,200 jobs statewide, create a safer, more efficient transportation network, and spur economic development.
