Welcome to the family!

We are pleased to tell you that DMO will be joining forces with Cato Gas & Oil beginning August 1, 2013. Rest assured, the quality of service you receive will not diminish – it will only get better. Since 1960, Cato Gas & Oil has been a valued, trusted leader in the energy industry and on the Eastern Shore. Home heating is one of our core operations, and being customer centered is one of our core beliefs. With our customers in mind, we strive to offer the best products at the best price each and every time we deliver fuel to your home. Together DMO and Cato will continue to operate with this same core values under the Cato Gas & Oil name. It’s just part of what we believe it takes to be the leading service company in the area.

You will still see and speak with many of the same DMO employees you have come to know and trust– from office staff to delivery drivers to service technicians. We will work together as a team to do what we have always done – keep you comfortable, safe, and satisfied.

We look forward to the opportunity to serve your home comfort needs now and for many years to come.

  2. Great way to find out. Been a customer for over 20 years and this is how you find out yet another company is gone. In the last few years their service has really dropped off. Maybe Cato can improve on somethings

  3. I recall that Delmarva Oil is or was part of the Southern MD Oil dynasty, run by a real tycoon named Blackie Wills.

Glad to see that it is going to be a local owned business now.

Any idea why they sold to Cato?

  4. Word in the oil biz is that they decided that Wicomico and the 'Bury are in decline and decided to get while getting is good.

    Like Dresser, Campbells and others

  6. Now, by golly, they can charge anything they want since they bought out the competition.. Watch for prices to go from the ridiculous to the impossible.

  8. Cato has always done great for me.I request an oil delivery a few weeks before I actually need it,but they always manage to deliver within a day of my call.I'm like 9:22 on this one. There are still plenty of oil companies around.Too many for the merger of these 2 to corner the market.

  9. Until recently,I too, had no idea that Delmarva Oil had been bought by Cato. We were paying monthly to Delmarva Oil. Once they were bought out by Cato, we began receiving collections letter from Tek Collect. We are not, and nave never been in default with Delmarva Oil, or Cato Oil for that matter. When I tried to reach someone at Cato, they say that they know nothing about our account. When I tried to login to my DMO account online, I no longer have access to my online account, and therefore cannot see my payment history, or any of my statements. Cato is less than helpful. Tek Collect is just out to collect what they see as an outstanding debt, and are saying it's going to reflect on our credit reports. Has anyone else been having this trouble? I know there has to be more people out there with this situation!
