Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Press Release 7-9-13

On Jul 1, 2013 at approximately 07:58 hours a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy stopped a vehicle on Route 113 in Berlin, Maryland for failing to slow down or make a lane change into an available lane upon the approach of an emergency vehicle utilizing emergency lights, and following too closely. The Deputy identified the driver as, Devon Winston Baron 22 years of age of New York, NY. The deputy immediately smelled a strong odor of marijuana. The vehicle was searched and Marijuana was found. Mr. Baron was arrested for possession of marijuana. Mr. Baron was taken before the District Court Commissioner and released pending trial.

On July 2, 2013 at approximately 07:00 hrs, a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputy stopped a vehicle on Route 13 SB and Brantley Road, for the operator not wearing a seatbelt. The driver was identified as Travis Thomas Gue, of Fredrick, Maryland DOB: 33 years of age, was arrested for possession of marijuana, in the amount less than 10 grams. Mr. Gue was released upon the signature of citations pending court.
