Zookeepers from the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore are welcoming the newest additions to their family: four common warthog piglets.
According to zookeepers, the warthog pair, Kumari and Kijani, welcomed the four common warthog piglets Saturday morning. The newborns were found later by the Zoo’s animal department staff who had been keeping a close eye on Kumari during her pregnancy.
This is the third litter for 8-year-old female warthog, Kumari, Zoo general curator Mike McClure says.
