WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama is urging Americans on the Fourth of July to live up to the words of the Declaration of Independence by securing liberty and opportunity for their own children as well as for future generations.
In his weekly radio and online address, Obama commemorates the Fourth of July by looking back at the day in 1776 that a small band of patriots declared those in the American colonies "a people created equal" -- free to think and worship and live as they please.
Obama says their declaration was "heard around the world."

Then he should quit villifying the conservative right and stop blaming Bush for every thing that's gone wrong in HIS administration that seeks to control every aspect of American lives.
ReplyDeleteHow about HE live up to the constitution and his OATH?!
ReplyDeleteHow about he set a better example for all the knuckleheads who mistakenly voted him into office?
How about he show some respect and love for the country that allowed him to rise to the highest office in this country?
How about he do just ONE thing to show gratitude for all this country has given him and his family?
How about he show he is proud to be an American, instead of apologizing for it, bowing to foreign heads of state, not showing respect for our flag, our military, our PEOPLE?
How about it?
Totally agree with 951PM and 1001PM! Obama is a joke of a President - He shows no respect for anyone unless they are one of his liberal cronies! Our great country is no longer what it used to be and only see it getting worse with him "ruling" us!
ReplyDelete" President Barack Obama is urging Americans on the Fourth of July to live up to the words of the Declaration of Independence by securing liberty and opportunity for their own children as well as for future generations."
ReplyDeleteI can only think of one sure way that this can be accomplished.
Why then, doesn't he listen to what he is saying? He is such a fraud. Totally agree with 10:01PM.
ReplyDeleteHe is clueless and so are the uneducated clowns that voted for him. He isn't the problem, the problem is the people who voted for him and follow him. I believe some of them are weak enough to follow him to their deaths.
ReplyDelete10:01 Agreed 100%. With this joke of a president it goes like this:"Do as I say, Not as I do". Hypocrisy at its highest level. And in accordance with the Socialist "Transparent Fundamental" Playbook.
ReplyDeleteHe says this as he willfully and very deliberately BURIES future generations under mountains of debt....he stands for "liberty" like John Birch stood for gay rights and George Wallace stood for integrated schools.
