A Salisbury News Associate was in WaWa this afternoon and overheard two City Employees talking about how Mayor Jim Ireton had terminated Lore' Chambers today.
We attempted to contact the Mayor's Office but every one had left for the day. Can someone confirm or deny this information?
Wow, it's only what he promised to do 5 years ago. If this is true, he has fulfilled one campaign promise.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's true , but I do know she was not needed in that job.
ReplyDeleteShe was thought to be a mill-stone around the neck of the city budget.
It's true he did what he had intended to do all along. That's why he put Stevenson in as the interim city administrator.
ReplyDeleteIt's about damn time! It took how long for Jim Ireton to fulfill his promise!!
ReplyDeleteI can only hope it is true!
That's going to be an expensive promise. Talk about a millstone. I hope the lawsuit doesn't bankrupt the city.
ReplyDeleteProves he doesn't like women although who would like her.
ReplyDeleteAlso proves Jim Ireton has his man crush going on with Tom Stevenson.
Ye reap what ye sow.
ReplyDeleteYeah its true. Shes gone.

How do we know for sure?
Is Hoppes next?
At least now Dr. Chambers doesn't have to work for her underling Stevenson who doesn't even have a degree but is being trusted to run the city.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she was fired by Jim Beaus Boy Toy Tommy!!
ReplyDeleteHey, Lore --
ReplyDeleteTime to lawyer-up -- so call Robin Cockey!
Based on the firee's sex and race, another big lawsuit for the City to defend.

I agree with you on that one. Tom Stevenson isn't even qualified to manage a lemonade stand much less a city with $55 Million budget.
That power hasn't been given to the boy toy. He is just arm candy.
ReplyDeletePick and Chambers gone and the city is still standing, should have been done 5 years ago. Can Stevenson pass the drug test? Is there a drug test?
ReplyDeleteI don't like Chambers one bit, but even I was stunned when Stephenson was appointed. If you think about it in the context of what is going on in Salisbury, it makes sense though. From what I can see, Stephenson is a SAPOA yes boy. What better way to keep the city aligned with the agenda of the rental industry ? They have tried to rule Salisbury for years. I predict that you will soon see an assault on single-family neighborhoods in favor of student rentals.

ReplyDeletethat's already here. where have you been?
It's official. She will be getting more money on unemployment than she did working.2 years should provide time to find another job.
ReplyDeleteI can honestly say in meetings I would prefer Lore to Tom Stephenson who is an ignorant bully. Ask women on neighborhood assoc he can get quite nasty. I hope Susan Phillips gets his current job on Code & Compliance fair and responsible, and also cares about the city not just landlords & SAPOA.

Good point!
Is Susan one of the women from Mojo's?
ReplyDeleteHow can this newly created position for downtown be so restrictive, pay less and require a college degree when they put an uneducated employee like Tom Stevenson in the highest ranking position in the city?

In regards to unemployment, an acquaintance of mine said he was laid off from his job which when he was working was making $100.00 a week. Now that he is unemployed and collecting unemployment, he is getting $300.00 a week - is there something wrong with this system? Makes me wonder if I should "fire myself" and start collecting unemployment and be able to stay home/travel/lounge/go to the beach for more money than what I am making each week?
ReplyDeleteFrom the DT news article dated May 16, 2013. I guess Ireton lied again.
ReplyDeleteStevenson named interim Salisbury city administrator
Stevenson named as interim city administrator
May 16, 2013 |
"Speaking to reporters, Ireton said the city will hire a consultant to conduct a nationwide search for Pick’s replacement. Afterward, he will submit three names to the City Council, which has final say in the matter.
One of those will be current Assistant City Administrator Lore Chambers, if she gives her blessing, Ireton said."
Tom Stevenson is a little man eat up with authority. He wants authority so bad that he paid for police like badges for all the code compliance officers to wear. They were bought at tax payers expense, but it was a waste of tax dollars. They already had name tags with pictures so why did they need badges. On his take home car he had dash lights and grill lights put in like he was cop. This guy has a major case of LDS.
ReplyDelete2:43-He probably worked somewhere else making more money in the base period used to determine benefits.

Ha Ha Ha... you are lidding right?
Susan phillips has no building or housing certifications! How can she be the boss when her employees are Required to have them?
ReplyDeleteSusan is not respected by anyone who works in that office. They need to wipe the board and start over with all new people. How do people get hired by the city when they dont have any credentials?
ReplyDeleteHaving a separate NSCC didn't work very well and is very costly. The enforcement arm could go under SPD and the inspection arm could go under Code and Compliance. That restructuring would eliminate one department head and better align duties with oversight and accountability. It won't be done, of course, because that would constitute downsizing government.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this had anything to do with the city and the Mayors office trying to figure out how to cover up the flooding issues on Delaware ave once again. There had been quite a fuss over this all weekend...
ReplyDeleteThere is no city code & compliance department to put it in if you split part under the SPD. That IS the nscc...

So true, but ask some of the past employees about some of the trips they went on for classes and alcohol involved. There was some lip locking going on in the back of the city vehicle the The Beau's new Boi Toy!

Neither does Tom Stevenson, but at least Phillips has some kind of diploma on her I Love Me Wall for Wor Wic. Might be an Associates degree which is more than Tom has.

The same way Tom Stevenson can be appointed Acting City Administrator when he doesn't even have a college degree.
