High Tech Bus Pass For OC

We’re not sure why PMoney is called PMoney. Maybe it’s because you can pay people and parking. Anyway, PMoney is a mobile payment program that allows you to use your phones to pay friends & family, parking garages as well as merchants. To get started, you will need to create an account which can be done online or within the PMoney app. Setup requires you to provide your mobile number, email and contact information. To fund your PMoney account, you can link your bank account or credit card. This process is easy and takes a few minutes, after which you can ditch your wallet.

To pay friends or family, enter their mobile phone number, and specify the amount you wish to send. After you confirm the transaction, your recipient will receive the funds immediately. They will need to register with PMoney to receive the funds.

  1. And the NSA will be able to empty your account at the snap of a finger! They will track your every move, know who your friends are and where they live, and all their habits.

    Me? I'm paying cash.

  2. Look for the fine print that says "you agree to rules that may change from time to time".. MEANING fees and charges. VISA led the way for this deception and now charge the merchants a direct charge as well as the 4%-5%-6%+ discount. Justification is that it can be passed on to the consumer. VISA users, look for this additional cost.. Greed is rampant with the financial institutions.

  3. Anonymous 10:28, I would enjoy speaking with you at any time in regards to PMoney or credit card processing in general so that you can possess truthful facts concerning how this technology works.

Of course with any technology or service that a business provides there will be a cost associated. Advertising, inventory, labor costs and yes credit card processing are all costs of doing business. However, what we do is provide fair pricing for an exceptional product that in turn saves businesses money and in some cases earns them additional revenue.

As far as the new Virtual Bus Passes that are now available in Ocean City, the truth is we developed this technology specifically for Ocean City at absolutely no cost to them or the taxpayer. This was done because Ocean City wanted a cost-effective way to accept credit card payments on their buses without the associated costs of outfitting each bus with hardware to process the cards.

The Ocean City bus system still accepts cash and has no plans of changing that. This is simply another form of payment that a rider can use which is more convenient than having to carry cash or worry about having exact change. PMoney costs a merchant (in this case the Town of Ocean City) .50% every time someone uses it. In other words half a penny for their single boarding pass.

The ability to accept PMoney payments is available to all merchants as is all of our other payment processing solutions, to include credit card processing, electronic gift cards, eCommerce sites, etc.

If you or anyone is interested in speaking to me in regards to how we can help you make your payment processing more efficient and cost effective please feel free to contact me.
