BALTIMORE, MD — On Thursday, July 25, Governor Martin O’Malley will host a Climate Change Summit on the progress Maryland has made in reducing greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change and the important actions that still need to be taken to meet our goals. Governor O’Malley will release the State’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan.
Under Governor O'Malley's leadership, Maryland is moving forward to address climate change with a Plan that will reduce greenhouse gases 25 percent by 2020.
The Summit will include presentations and panel discussions that feature leading Climate Change Scientists, renewable energy business leaders, elected government officials and environmental and community advocates.
