National Security Agency leak source Edward Snowden is viewed as a "whistleblower" by most Americans, and his leaks have caused a "massive shift" in public opinion against government surveillance, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.
Snowden — who is currently seeking political asylum while holed up in Russia — is viewed as a "whistleblower" by 55% of poll respondents. Only 34% view him as a "traitor."

The "traitors" are in white house, the congress, and the justice department.
ReplyDeleteHe's a patriot.
ReplyDeletePeople should be upset with Obama. I agree that Snowden did the right thing and he is a patriot.
ReplyDeletedittos 1:02 and 1:12
ReplyDeleteI'm with 1:12. He just opened the eyes of many of our government thinks of us.
ReplyDeleteWith all due respect for the traitors who think they are patriots you haven't a clue. There are lives at stake here put in harms way wether you so call patriots belive it or not. To those of us who have served and are patriots, those like myself wounded, left for dead, and survived Snowden is a treasonist and heopfully will be sentenced accordingly.
ReplyDelete2:28,I thank you for your service but our government isnt our fathers government.Progressives to me are traitors trying to destroy the America you fought for.
ReplyDeleteWell said 4:05. The Afghanistan war is a joke. The people ours kids are dying to protect are killing our kids. Get the hell out of there NOW!! Snowden exposed the evil bastards in our government that make us all out to be enemies of the state. Reminds me of Nazi Germany, VER ARE your PAPERS?!! Except more covert and all encompassing. Hitler would be jealous.
ReplyDeleteI was in Afghanistan with a enough clearance to know exactly why we were there. Many of the stragetic teams were briefed as well. Americans and most of the world believe it's the war on terrorism. Believe me Americans could not handle the purpose and would never understand the reality, seriousness of this campaigne. Everyone with such clearance is briefed and debriefed to this day. Not everything is what it seems to be. If you think Afghanistan is a joke you should be living in Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteGlad you believed every bit of propaganda you were served 8:06. I totally respect our soldiers that a willing to die for a righteous cause. The leaders of our military starting with the commander in chief have dubious motives at best. Will you admit how many Muslims have been appointed to top military oversight posts? Do you even know that? And I guess I'll move to Hollywood because Afghanistan is a JOKE!!! A very bad one at that.
ReplyDeleteAnon 9:03 Let me make it clearer for you. Alghanistan is no joke and dealing with the Muslims may be 20% of the mission. Your smart enough figure it out and it's not drugs.
ReplyDeleteOkay 11:52 you have me intrigued, I will do some more research. From past information I know some critical energy resource infrastructure goes through the region which would jeapardize Europe if attacked, I'm guessing your going there. I'm always willing to keep an open mind and I do know there is always more to the story these days. While I still have the freedom to use the internet (pre-CISPA full implementation thanks to Howard slowing down NSA and the other government goons) I will start tonight.
