anonymous 10:37, No, weight is the correct word. No doubt you'll gain weight after you eat it and from what I understand it's so good it's worth the weight.
This place is a MUST GO if you live on the shore and you like ice cream. Trust me, it is worth the drive. The prices seem a bit high, that is until you see how big the serving size is and taste how good it is.
I stop there on my way back from Baltimore every week. It is worth it. They are nice peolpe and it is right at the dairy farm. It does not get any fresher than that. lol.
I have been told that the ice cream is actually made at a New Jersey site. Some of the flavoring may be done at the farm site. I'm not interested in paying the high price for their ice cream or Hopkins on Rt. 9. The cow smell and ice cream is just gross!
8:09 Is channeling Blackrot Obama by implying,"You didn't make that!" Are you just upset because they wouldn't accept your Freedom Card? Vanderwende's ice cream is made on site.
All ice cream at the Vanderwende Creamery is made at the creamery! They are very busy early in the mornings making ice cream. I'm pretty sure Hopkins makes theirs on site as well. And I go to Vanderwende's at least 3 times a week and the manure smell hasn't been an issue.
"Always a line but worth the weight!"
ReplyDeleteShouldn't that be "wait?"
The ice cream is worth the added weight? Love it--that typo would actually make a great slogan!
