Troopers Seek Public’s Help In Identifying Subjects

Location: Various locations in Rehoboth Beach, DE

Date of Occurrence: Thursday May 2, 2013

Victim: 54 year old female

Suspect(s):
Black female, 25-35 years old, wearing a black shirt and black jeans.
Black male, 30-40 years old, wearing a blue Polo shirt and khaki pants
Resume:
Rehoboth Beach, DE- The Delaware State Police is asking the public’s assistance in attempting to identify two subjects involved in the unlawful use of a credit card.

On Thursday May 2, 2013, a black female and black male began making several illegal transactions on a 54 year old female victim’s credit card. The purchases were made at the Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Food Lion, and Super Fresh in Rehoboth. The transactions totaled more than $1,100.00. The suspects are described as a black female, 25-35 years old, wearing a black shirt and black jeans and a black male, 30-40 years old wearing a blue Polo shirt and khaki pants.

If anyone has any information on this incident or the suspects, they are asked to contact Trooper W.   4. They NEVER ask for ID when you use a credit card..or at least I have never been asked. And did they ever get the guy that stole a puppy from SuperPet a while back??? Just a thought....

  5. In Maryland it is illegal to ask for ID when someone uses a credit card. Don't know about other states, though.

  6. AARP told us old folks to write on the back of our credit cards "ask for id" so this couldn't happen. Now stores don't even ask for id unless it is over $50. Half the time even if its over there is no required id. A seasoned crook would know where these stores are.

  7. Wow i have never been asked for id on a card purchase.. Even for big items like a flat screen tv..glad it was my card

  8. Now they have where u swipe ur card ur self so it doesn't matter if you put CID!!!! Smh they are dumb knowing Walmart has cameras.........
