Georgetown -- The Department of Transportation's (DelDOT) Traffic Signal section in conjunction with Kriss Contracting will be upgrading the existing signal at the intersection of Route 9 and Race Street in Georgetown to an overhead mast arm design and upgrade the pedestrian signal to countdown displays. The new signal will improve visibility for motorists and aid pedestrians to cross the street safely.
Intermittent lane closures will occur from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 20. Police and flaggers will direct traffic at the intersection.
