The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down in Newark, Delaware on Monday.
Officials say the path of yesterday's EF-0 tornado in Newark, Delaware was 150 yards wide and 4/10 of a mile in length.
New Castle County emergency officials were on the scene Monday night surveying the damage, and people in the community were counting their blessings.
Amber Sudler, who lives in the Robscott Manor section of Newark, Delaware, tells us, "When we pulled up the tree was in the house and the kids just started crying."

The national news is saying we are going to get some violent weather here today and tomorrow. I hope it isn't as bad as they think it is going to be. Straight line winds and potential for hail. I have walked around outside the house moving bird feeders etc. that can become airborne. I am in Wicomico but the warning is for the Delmarva peninsula as well as all of MD. Get ready people. An ounce of prevention..etc.
