Officers stopped the suspicious male who was identified as Roger Delano Holloway, 38, of Rosedale, Maryland. Police recovered a large “Bowie” style sheath knife which was concealed under Holloway’s shirt and pants waistband. Holloway was arrested and searched revealing a second concealed fixed blade knife as well as automatic-opening folding knife and a set of metal knuckles.
Holloway was charged with three counts of concealed deadly weapon and one violation of the Ocean City Martial Arts Weapons Possession ordinance.
Holloway was seen by seen by an Ocean City District Court Commissioner and was released on his own recognizance.
Um, I have a question here. I have had a Buck 110 in my belt since 1965 and now wonder if I am a criminal in the oppression state. Good Lord, help us all here. I'm wearing my pencil sharpener, and anyone opposed to that is a butthead. Amendmnent #2 comes to mind.

Since when do we judge men on their appearance. He has the right carry a knife for personal protection. He also has the right to carry a gun.

DeleteThere are laws regarding the CONCEALMENT of fixed blade knives... This man was free to carry his bowie knife out in the open, they can't do much about that. Also you are free to carry what the state deems as a "pen knife" concealed and the definition of this is a blade that folds in half and does not assist the user in opening. All the laws for these tools are available by looking at MD Annotated Code. Know your rights and you can avoid these run-ins or keep it completely out of sight...
