On May 13, 2013, at approximately 2:15 a.m., an Ocean City Police vehicle was hit by a motor scooter on Coastal Highway at 41st Street. The Ocean City Police officer involved was stopped in his patrol vehicle at a traffic light in the southbound turn lane at 41st Street. The driver of the scooter, who was later identified as Edward Thomas Johnson, 25, of Salisbury, then collided into the rear of the patrol vehicle causing him to be ejected from his scooter.
The officer involved immediately began to render aid to Johnson, who was wearing a helmet; however, it became dislodged as a result of the collision and failed to fully protect him. Johnson was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center by Ocean City EMS for treatment. His medical status is unknown at this time. The officer involved was also treated and released at Atlantic General Hospital for minor injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate this incident. Johnson is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol.
Sounds suspicious to me!
ReplyDeleteThe officer, treated for minor injuries? While sitting in a parked car?
Who actually hit who?
Video review please.
What grade in school did you actually successfully complete? 8th? 9th? Let's break this down for you.
ReplyDeleteCop- Marked patrol vehicle. STOPPED at red light. Gets hit from BEHIND.
You still with me? Good. Let's continue on.
Scooter dude- Believed to be under the influence (that means drunk or impaired by some sort of drug). Runs INTO the trunk of a STOPPED, MARKED POLICE VEHICLE may I point out that was AT A RED LIGHT (so one can only assume the rest of traffic was stopped as well). Hits the MARKED CAR SO HARD, his helmet dislodges. Smashes his face into the MARKED POLICE CARS trunk.
Yeah, hmm. Well!.....you nailed it. All signs point to the cop driving in reverse down coastal highway. How could I not see that. What an idiot.
Dash cams dont record from the rear either, dumba$$
It takes alcohol to purchase a "scooter", let alone drive one into the back of a parked car...police car at that.
