It is impossible to understand the Obama administration's uniquely hostile treatment of Fox News without understanding the self-image of the Obama team. On the one hand, the targeting of Fox News for isolation and surveillance suggests an administration so lacking in competence that it cannot tolerate criticism or scrutiny. On the other, the attacks suggest hubris, a confidence that few would ever object to its conduct.
That contradiction has a religious quality to it. Indeed, President Barack Obama has led an administration that has, at times, been more of a religious movement than a governing body. Obama has made miraculous promises of political and planetary transformation; he has encouraged a cult-like following, even among formerly skeptical journalists; and he has constructed a demonology of his opponents, real and imagined.

The death of fox news will be start of a true Hitler type rule.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it strange that people don't want to hear the truth.
Isn't it strange that people want to follow the leader , even when it is wrong or ludicrous.
lol I crack up every time I hear one of you hold up Fox as being "the truth" or unbiased. Matter of fact, I crack up every time one of you loons from either side claims that the other side is full of evil liars while yours are bastions of truth and justice. You both play the same game using the same tricks. Why don't you truly jump off the crap train and really get on the side of truth and honesty.

ReplyDeleteget on the side of truth and honesty, which is.............
804, the side of truth and honesty is "any and all people who value factual information and conclusions based off of those facts". It means stop blindly following the elephants and donkeys to our collective demise. It means stop propping up institutions that continue to use fear and anger to control your thoughts and behaviors in order to support their political and economic power. If you want a label how about we go with "Team Think"
ReplyDeleteFox News fought all the way through the Supreme Court that they are NOT a news station but entertainment and they do not have to be factual. And they won!
ReplyDelete7:59 I believe you would have followed Hitler to gas chambers if he promised you something for free!
ReplyDelete959, really? By calling for folks to follow the facts? If the sentiment I expressed is such an afront to your sensibilities, I feel sorry for you. Who's the one more likely to follow anyone into a gas chamber? The man who looks for the truth and hard facts, or the one who soaks up every half-baked story that strokes his partisan ego?
ReplyDeleteSOME of you better start reading our history books because history does in fact repeat itself!
ReplyDeleteOk 10:55 What are the facts in the Benghazi cover up? Oh, I just remembered, it was a just stylistic change Obama made of the talking points.
