DON'T BE ALARMED: POLICE TRAINING EXERCISE IN SALISBURY

The Salisbury Police Department’sCrisis Negotiation Team and Tactical Team will be conducting a joint training exercise on May 1, 2013 at approximately 0900 Hrs. to approximately 1600 Hrs. The location of the exercise is in the area of Old Ocean City Rd. and Guilford Ave.

    The SPD did not warn the citizens until TODAY. Hence, this is why your not seeing it anywhere else. If you were anywhere in the area you'd think we had a Boston situation on our hands, seriously.

    A bit alarming to be driving down Old OC Road and see LEO with assault rifle squatted behind a sign at the business Wetcher Whistle!

    What the heck is going on at the zoo? Why did it close at noon and police cars are there? I promised my child a trip to the zoo and the gates are shut.

    I thought they were giving away free donuts at the Blind Industries! Jeeze, they were ALL there! I guess it wasn't announced to reduce the bank robbery rate for the day...

    Police Departments thrive off of fear mongering. This is disgusting and needs to stop.

    You can never be completely ready for tragic events.

    These tactics are used to instill fear into the minds of the people. Its a complete and utter waste of tax payer resources and LEO time.

    Seriously, they accomplished absolutely zero yesterday.
