DELAWARE TO BECOME 11TH STATE WITH GAY MARRIAGE

DOVER, Del. (AP) — A divided Delaware state Senate voted Tuesday to make their state the 11th in the nation to allow same-sex marriage, after hearing hours of passionate testimony from supporters and opponents.

The Senate's 12-9 vote sends the bill to Democratic Gov. Jack Markell, who supports the measure and planned to sign it later in the day. It would go into effect July 1.

"I think this is the right thing for Delaware," the governor said after the vote, while posing for pictures with supporters outside his legislative office. "It took an incredible team effort."

  2. "Delaware should be, is and will be a welcoming place to live and love and to raise a family for all who call our great state home," Markell said.

Uh, any same sex volunteers to actually MAKE the family? Didn't think so. It's an unfortunate reality that can't be avoided. Keep fantasizing!

  6. "So the 11th state on the road to hell...." so does this make them any different than the other 49 states that allow alcohol consumption, the states with legalized gambling, or states with strip clubs?

  8. Delaware has been going to hell LONG before this. Like MD, DE is a democratic state. Who cares if Tom wants to get married to John. If it doesn't effect your paycheck, then what is the problem? OOOOO, religion! Yeah because EVERYONE believes in the bible right? The saying goes, "If it bothers you, then don't marry the same sex!" Problem solved! Other than "What the bible says" what is the problem with it?
