Volunteers Needed- May 4th Ramp Project

Volunteers are needed to build a wheelchair ramp for a very deserving person in need near Salisbury. Two shifts are available: 8am-noon and noon- 4pm. Participants will receive the exact location of the project prior to the event. Pizza lunch and snacks will be provided onsite.

Basic Safety will be discussed before the work begins: Anyone needing specific training on the use of tools is encouraged to ask. No carpentry experience is necessary... there is something for everyone to to, no matter your skill level!

All participants must sign a "Participant Agreement and Liability Wavier" prior to working. This, and further detailed information, will be emailed to participants one week prior to the project event date. Must be 18 years or older.

What to Bring:

Tools: bring any carpentry hand tools you know how to use: post hole diggers, shovels, drills, saw horses, power saws, framing squares, levels, string line level. Tools will also be provided at the site. You may elect to bring a hammer, nail pocket and glasses/goggles or other eye protection. There will be a few of those onsite as needed.

Clothing: Jeans, work shoes, gloves, appropriate shirts and a
head covering/sunscreen. Dress for the weather!

    Then politely ask them to step aside. Negative people, it's probably best if you stay home.
