It’s rare that I somewhat find myself agreeing with far left liberals on an issue, but this op-ed piece by Jeremi Suri is absurd
Bomb North Korea, Before It’s Too Late
The Korean crisis has now become a strategic threat to America’s core national interests. The best option is to destroy the North Korean missile on the ground before it is launched. The United States should use a precise airstrike to render the missile and its mobile launcher inoperable.
President Obama should state clearly and forthrightly that this is an act of self-defense in response to explicit threats from North Korea and clear evidence of a prepared weapon. He should give the leaders of South Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan advance notice before acting. And he should explain that this is a limited defensive strike on a military target — an operation that poses no threat to civilians — and that America does not intend to bring about regime change. The purpose is to neutralize a clear and present danger. That is all.

ReplyDeleteEnough is enough. It's time to say goodnight. Let it drop!
ReplyDeleteFew of their problems they face bombing N. Korea is that North Korea is so small taht bombing it can hit parts of China and South Korea, and North Korea has an alliance with China and Russia both communist like N. Korea. If the Chinese collect the debt the United States would face another Great Depression because they'll have to some how pay for the debt as fast as they can. Their are other countries that hates the US that most likely will attack the US when it is weak. Currently with the US now full of obsess citizens(not being rude)will not do very well(most because of stamina issues) if they have to start picking people to join because it possible can turn into the next war since Japan and China are always looking for more land and resources and will use it as an excuse for war.
ReplyDeleteNo need for pre-emptive strike. While they may have nukes, they're likely not effective, esp. long range.
ReplyDeleteDid you know the "ILLEGALS" are not signing up for selective service?
ReplyDeleteObama doesn't have the nads.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is under the misconception that only the governments of the world possess nukes. That belief could'nt be farther from the truth.Private enterprize not only aggressively pursues the space race, but also the race for nuclear arms.If this threat continues or increases, look for private concerns worldwide to intervene & make a parking lot out of North Korea. If world governments don't act, they will.
