Md. Delegate Ron George Plans To Run For Governor

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Maryland Delegate Ron George said Monday he will seek to be the GOP’s candidate for governor in 2014, adding to a pool of Republicans who are eyeing a potential run.

George said in an interview that he has made up his mind to run after much thought and encouragement from supporters. He said he plans to announce his candidacy June 5 in Annapolis.

“We’ve reached that decision now,” said George, who represents an Anne Arundel County district that includes Annapolis.

  1. So the Dumb A$$ is going to run for Governor and lose. Not only does he lose his Gubernatorial election he loses his seat as an incumbent House member.

Good move Maryland GOP and you wonder why Republicans can't win elections!!! The GOP should have already had it's candidates for all elections next year. No wonder people are leaving this party and becoming independents! Pi$$ poor leadership.

  2. The Generally Ornery Party should not put folks up that do not carry a half-rats chance of getting elected. Nobody's ever heard of this guy outside of the locale he currently represents.

We really need someone that is capable of making a majority of people that actually vote understand that the state is going in the wrong direction...kinda hard to do when the voting majority are takers.

  3. This guy accidently got elected to the House of Delegates and it has obviously gone to his head. No one has ever heard of him and he is to stupid to know or understand that. This is why Republicans lose elections because the leadership is to stupid to seek out good candidates and stop the no names from running. This guy should forget the governors race and make a name for himself at the state level as a delegate. Take baby steps first dummy!!
