  2. 18

    5 x 8 = 40
    5 x 6 = 30
    8 x 3 = 24
    6 x 3 = 18
    40 - (8x2) = 24
    40 - (5x2) = 30
    30 - (6x2) = 18
    24 - (3x2) = 18

  4. Here's how it works:
    30/40=.75 (or 75%)
    X/24=Y (we want 75% or 3/4)
    24/4=6
    3X6=18
    X=18
    simple math, why can't we do that anymore?

  5. Had a 24 or 30 pack can't remember. Woke up and had 18 pack. Smoked a ciggerette, looked at this and drank 2 more beers. Still got 18, give or take a six pack. 18

  6. 18 unless this is a democratic puzzle. Then it would obviously be -18.
