STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR MARTIN O'MALLEY ON PASSAGE OF TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT ACT OF 2013

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Martin O’Malley issued the following statement on the passage of the Transportation Infrastructure Investment Act of 2013:

“With the passage of the Transportation Infrastructure Investment Act today, we will support more than 57,000 jobs, ease traffic congestion, and build a 21st century transportation network.

“Maryland has now recovered nearly 95 percent of the jobs lost during the Bush recession, and today’s vote will help us put even more families back to work.

“Thanks to the extraordinary leadership of Senate President Miller, House Speaker Busch and their colleagues in the General Assembly, Maryland is poised to create jobs and expand opportunity.”

  1. He is such a joke.

Bush may have got the ball rolling, but Obama took the ball and kept on running. Hate. Politics. So. Much.

  5. What a bunch of BS! Have you read or noticed that MDD. is one of the six states with the most tax increases out of the entire United States. This idiot has robbed all the funds generated by the tolls and gas tax and squandered them away in a reckless manner. With the latest gas tax increase I will buy my gas in Delaware even if it cost more rather than give it to this greedy Bas####. I already buy all major items in Delaware as our sales tax has increased to 6%. And this JEERK is planning to run for President! He would no doubt be worse than what we have now.

  6. Does anyone else get sick and tired of paying more and more taxes? We are paying to much for gas now. These moronic Democrats will cause a loss of jobs because of the tax increase and the cost of living will rise even higher because of the increased gas prices. You idiots are so stupid for voting for Democrats.

  8. All the jobs he talks about are Federal jobs. He is a joke. Why does he always sound drunk when he speaks. If he and his democrat cohorts didn't raid the transportation funds to pay for their illegal voters we wouldn't be in this mess.
