AWESOME work mayor keep up the SH/T work.
ReplyDeletenot just the local economy , the entire nation
ReplyDeletetake another million dollar vacation obama
Joe make SURE you spank the mayor with this at next weeks forum at the college, Spank so to speak......lol.
ReplyDeleteThank you Obama. Don't you just love those who voted to put this creep back in office for another four years?
ReplyDeleteHowever, they are still in denial as to them they still say he is the great one!
Wait a minute!! Obammie and the media keep telling me all is good! The economy is getting, unemployment is going down, things couldn't be better!!
ReplyDeleteAny idiot can see the numbers were affected by seasonal employment for the holidays. The numbers for the Christmas season just ended are identical to those the year before.
ReplyDeleteI agree Obama sucks but its up to the mayor to bring jobs or keep the jobs in Salisbuy. Look at Texas they are booming. Only lazy liberals like jimbo can't bring in new jobs, and I don't mean more cops for your section 8 ghetto.
ReplyDeletego ahead and vote for jimbo again and you will see exactly what will happens to Salisbury and downtown, more of NOTHING and blight.
ReplyDeleteAnd if jim is re-elected the numbers will only get worse, get out and vote.
ReplyDeleteRumors are flying that Lorch MW is pulling out and going to Florida.
ReplyDeleteWow i wonder if the mayor will hold up this report at the next forum at SU next week like he did with an old yellow newspaper crime article at the camdem forum this week ???????
ReplyDeleteAs a local small businessperson,it is slower than it has been in previous years.People dont have much money to spend except for necessities.
ReplyDelete9:56 Yes and if this mayor is re-elected you can definitely expect things to get worse.
ReplyDelete9:40 We will see many large business' pull out of the area soon enough.
ReplyDeleteHope one of the questions is to explain the thinking behind Section 8 housing as a way to revitalize our city. Other than enriching landlords at public expense, it's a difficult concept to justify.
ReplyDeleteBut, But, But at the Camden Neighborhood Association Candidates Forum Jim Ireton was bragging about the 3 or 4 "new" businesses that were located in Salisbury.
ReplyDeleteWhat he failed to mention was the numerous businesses that closed down in that same period. Good Job Mayoral Candidate Joe Albero who corrected Jim Ireton with his deception!
Vote Joe Albero and Debbie Campbell on April 2, 2013!!

Great Point!! Government jobs do not spark the economy.
Jim Ireton, through self admission, has an Anti-Albero hate blog and he is constantly bashing Joe with lies and deception. Does anyone have access to Delaware's court system so we can get the goods on Jim Ireton when he was arrested on that Delaware beach for frolicking with another man late at night. He was also charged with eluding a police officer as he ran like a ferry down the beach. This happened just before he was elected Mayor in Salisbury.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have documentation of the numerous times Jim Ireton was written up and reprimanded in the school system? This guy is trouble and the citizens and the voters need to no who they are voting for.
A lot of the comments cite Obama or our local gov't as the culprits responsible for unemployment levels here. I'd like to remind you of MD's overall views on business. When you have a governor and legislature that willingly sponsor and pass laws that literally drive businesses away from MD, can you really place blame on anyone else but our state government?
ReplyDeleteRealtors are against Ms. Campbell and I think it is they know she does the necessary homework for their requests. They are throwing money supporting Day because they know he'll give them the kickbacks or property cheap using the taxpayers to pay for their backdoor deals all in the name of progression.
ReplyDeleteJust watched your interview with mr Tilghman on the link you posted on the sidebar. I would like to hear more and also both sides. Is there a link to hear the interview where you and the current mayor both participated? Would appreciate that very much. Especially audio and video if possible. Thank you.
ReplyDeletePs. Sorry to post it on this threas, but didn't see better place.
Anonymous 9:40. Lorch Microwave is not moving. Was merged with a company in Fla Trak Microwave. Channel Microwave in California was also merged with Trak Microwave. They do the same products, so all of Channel Microwave production was moved to the Trak facilities in Tampa. The people at Trak couldn't get the Channel products out the door, so that whole group was moved to Lorch Microwave in Salisbury. As we speak the Lorch Microwave building is going under extensive upgrades and remodeling to not only have a better appearance inside but to also try to get approved for space contracts. Hope that puts to rest those rumors.
ReplyDelete12:56
ReplyDeleteThe video is not available yet. I'm sure once Joe gets it he will post it here on the blog. Enjoy your day.
Just to add. All machine shop operations for Lorch microwave and Trak Microwave are done here at Lorch Microwave. 2 brand new very very expensive machines were bought and set up at Lorch within the last year.
ReplyDeleteThis is just unbelievable! I knew that the massive business exodus from our area would show up sooner or latter. And the latest government report just goes to confirm my suspicions.
ReplyDeleteIMHO - anyone that votes for Ireton under these conditions is a vote for calamity, crime, and rampant unemployment. I swear - I hope Joe wins the Mayors race. How could anyone with their right mind vote a continuation of these conditions.
This is very bad news for anyone living in and around Salisbury. I just hope that the citizens do not forget about this when they go to the polls to vote.
ReplyDeleteJust how much more can our residents take of this. First O'Malley touts how things have improved. Maybe for him as he has been insulated from this mess. But for the average Joe Blow, things are a mess as can be demonstrated by these statistics.
ReplyDeleteThe citizens need to vote out the rascals that are pillaging our god given right to liberty. These are alarming numbers that prove our area is in a catastrophic state. Salisbury truly needs a business friendly Mayor and the only one I know that fits that shoe is Joe Albero. I hope everyone shows up at the polls and votes for Joe Albero for Mayor.
ReplyDelete1:05, I wouldn't hold my breath.

ReplyDeleteI agree. Our state is just to hostile an environment for any prospective business. And for the ones that have folded or moved away - well the proof is in the pudding. Until we get rid of the legislative scoundrels that have plundered our local economy - I see no end in sight. We need them to be put out to pasture and quick! Enough is enough!
The mayor is doing his pt job right, getting rid of businesses to make way for low income housing, mark my words.
ReplyDeleteThe folks who live in rentals need to understand a vote for Ireton/Day, is a sure bet they will be paying more rent and getting nothing in return.
ReplyDeleteA vote for them will be a vote for the slumlords.
Beware of smooth talkers who dazzel with promises that they will deliver.
Ms. Campbell has not deceived anyone as is being protrayed.
A vote for Albero, Campbell, and Polk is a vote for all the people not just a select few.
Don't forget to keep Debbie in there! If we let Day on the council, Joe's hands will be tied! We will truly have a council of either "It's a tie"" with him absent, or "It's for SAPOA slumlords, so let's do it" if he votes.
ReplyDeleteWhen Debbie and Joe get in there, this town will be ROCKING back to life!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to it!
One thing that is real obvious from the BLS numbers. There are 1900 less jobs today than there was a year ago. And I am sure that the numbers a year ago were greater than the year before (January 2010 - February 2011) - so the bigger question is - Where have all of these people disappeared to?
ReplyDeleteThe look to have basically vanished from the local employment scene.
Jim Ireton does not care about the people or the jobs in this city. Jim Ireton just allowed the wrongful termination of a long time city employee and city resident.
ReplyDeleteTo 6:08 Posting
ReplyDeleteI agree. Where have all of these people gone to. Have they packed-up and moved out of here? The numbers show a significant contraction in the workforce. How about the population - has it also shrank?
As per jim salisbury has increased in population by 10,000 plus so with all the jobs gone and businesses leaving how are people surviving???????Would you like to know??????? Its called Welfare, free housing, free cell, free food, free electric, free health care and if jim gets his way 500 more FREE LOW INCOME HOUSING then how do think this town is going to look, Part 2 crime robbery's/burglaries/assaults have more that doubled in Salisbury and TRUST me all of the above in this town will get Worse.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like one big welfare State to me to. Everytime I go into Wal-mart all I see are people sporting their Independence cards. No joke - it is easy to spot them. Look for the biggest carts and watch them.
ReplyDelete2:28 I am holding my breath
ReplyDeleteWent through the state of Delaware and there is building going on everywhere from Dewey,Milford,Dover Smyrna. It must be easier to get permits there.
ReplyDeleteGo ahead and feel free to keep electing Pollitt, Ireton and Conway. Idiots.

Don't start partying yet. They have to get in before the party begins. YOU and your friends need to get out on the streets to campaign for Joe and Debbie. You and your friends need to give people rides if you needed. You and your friends need to convince people to get out and vote for Joe Albero and Debbie Campbell. It doesn't matter if you or your friend live in the county. Just help them out. Look at all the outsiders who are helping Jim Ireton and Jake Day.
What date is the candidate forum this week?
ReplyDelete9 DAYS LEFT FOR THE MAYOR TO BE X MAYOR.
