A community college in central Connecticut has been placed on lockdown as police investigate reports of a gunman on campus.
Officials at Manchester Community College, in Manchester, Conn., sent an emergency alert to students and staff shortly after 2:00 p.m. declaring a lockdown at the school.
“An emergency has been declared on campus," the message read, according to the Hartford Courant. "An order to shelter in place has been ordered."
