The Maryland House of Delegates has approved a measure to further implement Obamacare in the state.
The House passed the bill with little debate on a 94-42 vote on Monday.
The measure creates a dedicated funding stream for the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange, which is the new insurance market that will offer residents a choice of private health plans. The money will come from an existing 2 percent tax on insurance plans that are state regulated.

and this "choice" of healthcare plans exists of a handful of options. They are high premium low deductable ones only. If you don't go with one of these "choices" than you are penalized 2% of your income which they will take directly out of any income tax refund due. This will hurt the young people the most who are now paying low premium/high deductable rates because they are healthy.
ReplyDeleteBend over Marylanders. Here comes yet another tax. As someone said when Obamacare was passed, "You think health care is expensive now, wait till it's free". Delaware is looking better all the time.
ReplyDeleteGuess what! When you fill out your application you also register to vote--see how easy it was to create a permanent Democrat majority?/ Si se puede!!!!
