Twenty-six cyclists are almost finished with a more than 400 mile trek from Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT to Washington, D.C. to fight for tougher gun control laws.
The last stop on their ride was Baltimore City Hall on Monday afternoon.
"I have been guided along by 26 angels," said Monte Frank, dressed in a green and white uniform with the phrase 'Team 26' on the back.

Those people need something to do.
ReplyDeleteHow about we provide transportation for these people to the East Side of Chicago. I will pay for it myself if they will ride through the streets without police protection. These people need to get in the real world.
ReplyDeleteAmazing ignorance: not a single item in the bill would have had an affect on the Newton outcome. These folks need to go back to CT and get a firm grip on their shoulders and give a hard push. Maybe then they'll be able to see reality in the light of day.

ReplyDeleteYou mean to the south side of Chicago.
They wouldn't last 5 minutes. The cops dodn't even go there.
This is what you do when you don't have a job.
ReplyDeleteLittle wonder they weren't robbed of their sneakers.
ReplyDeleteAnd IF they were robbed or beaten, who would they call? People with guns. Good thing they didn't ride deeper into the South. Things happen on lonely roads to people like them...imagine them stopping at some country diner in Georgia and telling the locals that they were working on ways to take their guns.....
ReplyDeleteThey can move to Russia where citizens are not allowed to have guns.
ReplyDeleteSee how fast they run their A$$ back to USA crying.
and they can take their butts right back where they came from
ReplyDeleteWhat a bunch of unemployed Butt Wipes!! Is someone supposed to be impressed. The only gun control I need is a good grip to aim at people trying to take mine away from me.
ReplyDeleteThe majority has already spoken , I guess that doesn't count for anything.
ReplyDeleteAnon 6:04 AM,
ReplyDelete1-The majority has spoken? You mean Montgomery County, PG County and Baltimore City representatives have spoken? Those three jurisdictions can almost carry the State in any vote single handed, but that does not necessarily represent the State as a whole.
2-People who chose to not express a given right tend to want to take that right away from others who do. You apparently do not own firearms thus you are more apt to want to take that right away from others that do. It happens all the time - People who chose to not express their freedom of speech want to silence others that do, people who do not chose a religion want to restrict others' religious practices in public, people are pro-life want to take the right to choose away from others (and vice versa)... The have nots will always want to take away from the haves
3 - For these Newtown, cyclists to parade in to other States in an overly dramatic fashion should be a waste of time. THEY ARE NOT CITIZENS OF MARYLAND; therefore, their opinion and theatrics should have no affect on the politically decisions in Maryland. If a Maryland politician changes his or her vote because of these clowns, then he or she is not representing the people who elected him or her.
4 - I'm sorry that these shootings have happened and as a father of a young son, it does scare me. But my common sense prevails telling me that no matter what gun laws are passed, these events are still going to happen. Criminals are called criminals because the committed crimes - THEY BREAK THE LAW! A law WILL NOT stop a criminal!
okay, you took a bike ride, very nice. now GO HOME!
ReplyDelete9:20 well said. The main problem with MD is point 1. Only the urban liberals determine our state politicians. DE has the same problem. That state produced that joke of a VP Biden. That being said the urban centers electing our president is a major problem also. Without the big cities of this country Obozo would have had maybe 12% of the vote. The whole electoral process needs to be changed because of this problem. The Electoral College was supposed to correct that but it needs to be further refined to correct the modern imbalance. The same goes for the states especially MD and DE.
