Campaign Finance Reform Passes In House And Is Moving In The Senate
A major campaign finance reform bill cleared the House of Delegates Thursday, and a Senate version of the bill is now being considered in committee. The bill would increase campaign contribution limits and stiffen penalties for those who fail to disclose their contributions. It was unanimously passed by the House of Delegates.
This legislation would also close a significant election law loophole that allows businesses to donate above contribution limits by giving through multiple names in related corporations. More
Here is my stupid idea: Any public office can have contributions but there is a ceiling limit on the entire amount Example President of US- Up to but not over million dollars Congress ETD= Up to $100,000.00 City Mayors of populations over 25,000 people =$5000.00 Cities with populations under =$4000.00 SHOW ME WHO CAN USE THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY THE BEST AND YOU PROBABLY HAVE MY VOTE Just and idea: Anything extra goes to a local food bank.
