123 Shamrock Dogs Abandoned
HELP HELP HELP in Salisbury, MD. 2 or 3 dogs are locked up in a house at 123 Shamrock Drive where nobody lives. The house is empty of furniture. Someone feeds them sometime but the dogs are alone in the house. It must be nasty with poo & pee. Neighbors have complained about it for a long time. No one will do anything to help these abandoned dogs. The Humane Society was called again yesterday & they said it was up to Animal Control. A call was made today to the Wicomico County Police Dept. & they said Animal Control would have to do something. Of course, it is posted on the Humane Society's website no animal control is available on weekends. These dogs are abandoned in an empty house & no one will do anything about it. One HS reply to a complaint by a neighbor was "How do you know they don't come & feed them while you are asleep?" The dogs are alone...no one lives there!!! 123 Shamrock Drive you can hear them whining & barking!!! You can see the back door has not been open in a long time. They must never get outside. I know one is a PitBull because I saw him at the window at the back door whining & barking.
as a neighbor, we spoke with earlier with both animal control and sheriffs office this morning a lady just left this house and both are contacting trying to contact her to meet her back there to be able to get in the house and take care of this
ReplyDeletesomeone should throw a rock and bust a window. git dem dogs outta there.
ReplyDeleteJust looked up who owns the property. Her name is Terri L. Morris. It doesn't surprise me that animal control hasn't done anything. They are useless.
ReplyDeleteThe person that owns this property is Terri L. Morris. I'm surprised that animal control didn't try and break in and rescue these poor dogs. That's shameful. I hope that when they catch up to this women, the prosecute her on animal neglect.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that the house is not located in ESVA!!!
ReplyDeletesomeone should do something ,they are ready to lock someone else up if someone reports them, but gonna let these dogs suffer is unreal, maybe they should be treated the same way,i dont think you would like it.....
ReplyDeleteterri morris 103 downing st hebron, current address for owner of house on shamrock dr
ReplyDeletemark, seriously. get a life and a job!
ReplyDeleteso bust down the door and take them to the Humane Society.
ReplyDeleteI heard sh works at Shore Up. Helping the homeless and poor for a living, is she?
ReplyDelete11:14, there is no Downing street in Hebron. Downing Rd is east of Delmar by Parsonsburg.
ReplyDeleteWe are very sure her daughter was spotted riding by the house twice today. The boyfriend was also in the car with her which has been seen coming out of the house.
ReplyDeleteI believe at least one of the dogs is vicious, they need be be properly taken out of the house and taken care of as they deserve
ReplyDeleteIt could be a grow house for weed. Dogs are used to protect the crop while no one there and they rarely testify against the person growing the weed.
ReplyDeleteThot the bf was in jail?
ReplyDeleteThe meter is red tagged, meaning there is no electricity on at the house, so, no heat, no pot, just cold dirty dogs. I was there this morning after reading about here to take food and water in case law enforcement was there. Well, I'm gonna stop writing right here about what I did see.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if she has a facebook
ReplyDeleteCan we just go right to this house and take the dogs instead of paying for them at the Humane Society?Since you have my vote already I need to know just how deep a thinker you really are.Take them now or wait?
ReplyDeleteboth animal control and sheriff have been there a couple times to take photos today i just saw the sheriff there again we are all not happy but please dont mess with stuff at the house and animals so they have all the evidence not messed with when sheriff lewis culd bust down the door legally i am sure he will do it
ReplyDeleteI agree. The proper authorities know so let's give them a little bit of time to act appropriately.
DeleteYou people do know there are more drugs around Salisbury than pot, right?! Those probably are guard dogs. Don't need electricity to hold crack, heroine, pills, cocaine, etc. When they finally do something about the dogs, maybe they might actually look for reasons why these dogs were left behind. There is a method to everybodies madness.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if she has a heart!
ReplyDeleteWe went through the same thing with a house on E Church St. People moved and left 2 dogs. We fought with Code/Compliance and Animal Control for a week before we could get help and the dogs had already been there alone over 2 weeks. Got the same crap about "they could be coming and you don't see them". We were being treated as if we were the criminals for even asking them for help. When they finally broke into the house neither dog had food or water and there was pee and poo all over the house. Slum lord re-rented it and stated he never replaced the carpeting. A neighbor a street over had the same problem with dogs left behind. She had to fight with animal control to get help also. You try to do the right thing and get crap from those who are supposed to be helping ... I dont get it, because I hear about this all the time, yet no one ever does anything to make the problem with these city workers better. Perception is don't bother, they won't help.
ReplyDeleteOk folks... Instead of gossiping about the woman that left the dogs at the house, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT... Gossiping does nothing. Have the police or Humane Society contact her and escort her to the house and go from there. STOP Whining about what needs to be done and just do it...
ReplyDeleteSalisbury is such a crappy town.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the next Mayor can fix this problem too....
ReplyDeleteThis HS is worthless. They don't do anything to really help/ Now when it is documented that these dogs are in dire need..what do they do??? not a damn thing. What in the hell is wrong with animal control???? I'm sure they wouldn't be going days without food and water. The cops will shoot the dogs claiming they are dangerous, but I ask yoy....who really are the dangerous ones??? The ones that are suppose to protect the animals that's who!
ReplyDeleteThe dogs have been rescued, "WITHOUT" the help from HS and animal control. Such a useless bunch of people. My donations will be go eleswhere now.
ReplyDeleteAll these comments about dogs. And everywhere u turn their are homeless people. Shame on us.
ReplyDeleteMany homeless people can help themselves such as finding food, water, and shelter. These poor dogs didn't have a chance.
ReplyDeleteMy information is that the HS director hired a second animal control officer and put him on duty the exact same times and days as the one already employed. If his reason is that back-up is needed once in a while that is true, but it is the director's job to do the back-up. Having two sitting in the office on Citation Drive isn't getting the job done.
ReplyDelete6:57am While I hear your frustration, the ones that are suffering at this HS still need help.
ReplyDeleteYou got photos of the house. I want to see the photos of the mistreated dogs. Photos can tell there stories better then you all.
ReplyDeleteDamn Right! Let's see some photos of these so called mistreated dogs. It seems as though everybody wants to ride on the backs of others comments without having anything to do with the situation. Everyone wants to feel good by patting each other on the back, passing judgement behind a computer screen. By the way Anonymous March 25th @ 2:50 if Salisbury is such a crappy town I'm sure there's plenty of space on the western shore for you.
ReplyDeleteFor once in your life imagine if you where the one crucified on this or any blog site, had your name posted and berated by the same people who claim to be your neighbors without any explanation other than to draw gossip at a local sewing circle. You all are amazing. For all the talk I hear on this site about being good christian folk it seems the one verse "he who is without sin, cast the first stone" has fallen on deaf ears.
