WASHINGTON, Feb. 21, 2013 - Smithfield Packing Company, a Smithfield, Va. establishment, is recalling approximately 38,000 pounds of pork sausage that may contain small pieces of plastic, likely from gloves, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

Has anyone tried the Roma brand Old Bay sausage? I tried the Roma Polish Kielbasi and it is out of this world delicious. Food Lion in Selbyville sells it. It is made right in Baltimore. Everyone should start buying it and maybe it will convince Roma that they need another plant right here in Salisbury to keep up with all the customers on the lower shore.

ReplyDeleteAh Murphy Brown the livestock subsidiary of Smithfield 9:15. More of the same chemical/drug laced junk they call meat. Not fit for a rabid dog's last meal before they put them down.
