  2. I would like to see when the absentee
ballots are counted and notice if several are from nursing homes in the same handwriting.
I have been told a person will visit nursing homes get information from nursing home patients fill the form for them and then tell the patient "I will send this in for you"
The patient dont know what is written or checked off.

  7. Barrie Tilghman and her people used to do the nursing home bit.

It's not illegal for people to help a disabled or elderly person fill out a request for an absentee ballot, or even assist with the ballot itself. But it can't be the candidate, and whoever helps has to sign the forms that they are helping with.

To the person questioning whether nursing home people can vote, sure they can if they are registered. Absentee ballots can be used by anyone who can't make it to the polls for whatever reason. They don't even require you to give a reason any more. If you just don't like going to the polls, or think you might have the flu that day and don't want to be out of a chance to vote, you can send in an absentee ballot.
