WHITE HOUSE RESPONDS TO ALL OF THOSE SECESSION PETITIONS: THERE’S NO RIGHT TO SECEDE
The Obama administration on Friday responded to the wave of secession petitions that spread online following the November election, preaching unity over division and saying there’s no right to secede.
“In a nation of 300 million people — each with their own set of deeply-held beliefs — democracy can be noisy and controversial. And that’s a good thing. Free and open debate is what makes this country work, and many people around the world risk their lives every day for the liberties we often take for granted,” wrote Jon Carson, director of the Office of Public Engagement.

Democracies are basically mob rule while Republics are rule of law.
Example: If someone shot someone dead in the town square witnessed by many and the mob started to lynch him. It would be a democratic gut reaction and one would THINK just.
But along comes the sheriff and declares that the man has to have a trial by jury. It's the rule of law in a Republic.
So in a democracy the mob rules but in a Republic it's the rule of law.
9:21. Do they? In the heat of the moment when they want to lynch someone? Or is the truth something else? Would you rather live in a society where gut reactions of a mob are followed or rational, thought out following of established rules.
Read the Declaration Independence. And the Constitution. There is NO clause or section that prohibits "sucession". But there IS a lot said about citizens being able to reject an oppressive government. Don't worry. The next revolution will take care of all concerns. THEY are preparing for that eventuality as fast as they can. You should, too. Or just coast along in your comfort, check your stocks, and keep thinking that we just need to vote the right people into office. THAT'S working great so far, huh?
Except we live in a Republic, NOT a democracy.

texas actually has a clause in which they may leave the union at any time. this was a clause in the mid-late 1800s after the wars.
