Created by “racist” college professors in the 1960′s, Kwanzaa is a holiday that “almost no black people today care about” and it only exists because it’s being kept alive by “hardcore left-wingers,” or so says Sen. Glenn Grothman (R-Wisc.), according to Patch.
“Why must we still hear about Kwanzaa?” the senator asked in a press release. “Why are hard-core left wingers still trying to talk about Kwanzaa — the supposed African-American holiday celebration between Christmas and New Year’s?”
Needless to say, Democrat party leaders were quick to condemn Sen. Grothman’s “absolutely jaw-dropping” comments.

ReplyDeleteHere's a shout out to Parsonsburg native Ronnie M. Everett, founder of Kwanzaa!
ReplyDeleteSay what you want about this made-up holiday, but it would be nice if someone would chair a committee to place a Maryland roadside market denoting that fact in the town of his birth.
....I meant roadside "marker" although a roadside "market" selling cheap candle holders and other "traditional" African trinkets in red, gold and green wouldn't be a bad idea either!
