Seaford, DE- The Delaware State Police Sussex County Drug Unit has arrested a Seaford man after the culmination of a several month long investigation into the manufacturing of Methamphetamine (Meth) at his house.
On Thursday January 17, 2013 at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Sussex County Drug Unit, with the assistance of the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, DNREC, Seaford Volunteer Fire Company, and Sussex County Paramedics responded to the 26000 block of Walker Road in order to execute a search warrant on the residence. Upon arrival at the house, Benjamin W. Wright, 42, was found to be actively smoking meth and was taken into custody without incident. Upon conducting a search of the property, detectives located component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of Meth along with key ingredients in making the drug as well as other drug paraphernalia.
Wright was transported back to Troop 4 in Georgetown where he was charged with two counts of Manufacturing Methamphetamine and four counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arraigned at JP2 and committed to SCI on $7,000.00 secured bond.
Walker Road was closed for approximately three hours as the Meth lab was safely dismantled and removed from the residence. No evacuations were issued.
