We have worshiped sports for so long , they are a God for a lot of individuals. It's a game they play with your money. They make millions of dollars to go out and play. They don't save lives , they don't educate , they don't feed or give you a place to live. THEY PLAY A GAME.
I am not a sports fan at all but I'm not sure I agree with you 6:56. Aside from the actual players themselves, I would imagine it's an area where there are quite a few jobs created. As far as feeding, educating, etc I do know that quite a few professional sports players do have foundations and/or lend their names to an existing charity/cause which is always a benefit. I also believe they are or can be wonderful role models. They have the experience to show that hard work and perseverance and dedication as opposed to hanging in the streets can have hugh rewards.
