CRISFIELD, Md. (AP) — Maryland Sen. Barbara Mikulski will visit the city of Crisfield to observe recovery efforts that are ongoing in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
Mikulski, a Democrat, will be given a tour Wednesday by Crisfield Mayor P.J. Purnell. Mikulski’s office says 585 homes in Crisfield sustained damage as a result of the hurricane, and 71 homes had major damage. More than 50 businesses were also affected by the storm.
