Last week President Obama issued this proclamation on religious freedom:
“Today, we also remember that religious liberty is not just an American right; it is a universal human right to be protected here at home and across the globe. This freedom is an essential part of human dignity, and without it our world cannot know lasting peace.” Please read the following tragic story and ask why we are sending F-16 fighter jets to Egypt.
Last Resistence – January 22nd
“The Egyptian courts just now sentenced a mother and her seven children to 15 years in prison for converting to Christianity.
The mother was raised a Christian, but converted to Islam twenty-three years ago when she married a Muslim man. After her husband’s death, she converted back to Christianity so that she could receive an inheritance from her Christian family. Between 2004 and 2006, she looked for help in obtaining new identity cards for her and her children that reflected her conversion back to Christianity. At the time, it was not a crime to be a Christian in Egypt, and in fact, Christians made up nearly 10% of the total population.
Now that the Muslim Brotherhood is in control, they have gone back through the records to before the time they were in power and charged the mother and children with a crime against Islam for converting to Christianity. The Egyptian court just sentenced the mother and all seven of her children to fifteen years in prison because of their conversion. In addition, the court also sentenced the clerks that helped her get her new identity cards to prison time as well.
And what is Obama doing about this religious persecution and injustice?”
Nothing if he is smart.Christianity is clearly a freedom of choice.Does anyone realize what a broad spectrum that covers? To choose to be a Christian in a predominantly non Christian country was their choice. To even suggest that anyone in the US can grant immunity to anyone in another country for any belief is ridiculous. We can't even fix us.
ReplyDeleteWhat would the writer suggest Obama do? Maybe some Chuck Norris karate all over the Islamic countryside of Egypt.
ReplyDeleteStop supporting their agenda and denounce these acts, that is what he should do.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of a persons religious beliefs NO ONE should be persecuted. Just imagine what kind of sentence her and her family would have received if Islam wasn't the religion of peace.........wait a second...........
Obama as usual screwed up and screwed up royally. I don't care what anyone says that man is dumb and the only reason he won is because the majority of US votes are borderline moron IQ due to government run schools that are very inferiour.
ReplyDeleteEgypt and Libya are now overrun with Islamist terrorists. Clinton says militants-which is not true they are terrorists. Africa is being overrun with them. In Egypt as soon as the Brotherhood was in charge they immediately started killing Christians. These terrorists saw in Obama a dope who is nothing more than a product of affimitive action and were able to fool him into thinking they wanted democracy.
Libya is now lawless and again thanks to Obama who like a child never thinks forward of consequences. Clinton is just as bad. Both were complete failures in their chosen profession of attorney and people don't take the clues as to these peoples lack of intelligence.
10:51 You are unbelievable. What if Moslems were treated like that here is this predominately Christian country? The outcry from liberals and people like yourself would be overwhelming. Why is Christianity the only religion that is okay to persecute. My guess is, Christians generally will not threaten to cut your head off at the least little offense.
ReplyDelete>>>What would the writer suggest Obama do? Maybe some Chuck Norris karate all over the Islamic countryside of Egypt.<<<
ReplyDeleteHypocrite. Take a minute and investigate the mountain of sanctions and actions taken against S. Africa during the days of apartheid. You libs are very selective about whose human rights are important.
