  1. It is easy to tell that Wicomicos economy is sucking wind. Just look around and see inside the big box retailers. Almost all - with exception to Sam's & Wally World are experiencing difficulties.

  2. This is not good news at all. I kind of thought that things were bad but when you see the measuring scale, the economy seems to be tanking again.

  3. It's been this incremental since 2008, and will probably continue until we get a new president.

  4. I am helping. I live in Delmar MD and because of O'Malley and his added taxes I buy in Delaware.

  5. Ask O'Malley, he will let you in on his numbers that show we are in a vast recovery, and jobs are expanding exponentially! You are obviously getting your numbers from real sources....

  6. Lost 1 more . I moved to FL. No state taxes and you can build anywhere you want!

  7. The State, County and City taxes are terrible. Between the democratic tax & spend and unions, companies have gone out of business and have cost the area 1000's of jobs since the 1980's and they have not been replaced. Retail and Restaurant jobs do not replace high earnings manufacturing jobs. Not at all. And tricky Ricky is doing NOTHING to reverse this trend!! The only enterprise that is growing in Wicomico county is crime: drugs & gangs. And, this is a terrible shame!! It was once a wonderful place to live.

  8. Joe - this is exactly what you eluded to in your campaign announcement a few days ago.

Salisbury/Wicomico needs to get their act together and start helping some of these exiting businesses. I hope you sound the 'bugle horn' loud and clear. This is a local crisis.

  9. I truly believe Albero's campaign speech is starting to resonate throughout Salisbury. This information just goes to prove his point that Salisbury is in dire need of a different direction. I really hope that Albero wins the Mayoral election.

  10. You would never read about this information in the DT newspaper. I can see their headlines now - SALISBURY's EMPLOYMENT IS ROBUST - knowing full well that is a lie.

  11. Response 7:47 - They don't refer to The Daily Times as the Daily Slim for nothing. I canceled my subsription long ago due to their liberal bias.
