What's billed as the largest among sportsmen's shows on the East Coast, if not North America, has reportedly been put on hold and might not happen at all.
The organizers of the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show have postponed the event after scores of vendors pulled out.
That was in response to the decision to ban assault type rifles and large ammunition magazines at this year's show.

ReplyDeleteThe beginning of the end.
Why is everyone afraid of these democrats and obamie?
We must mind his magesties wishes.
Our loving dictator who worships Hitler.
Screw them. I was going, with plans to meet up with friends from several states. But these pricks felt the need to make a damn political statement. Sick of this crap.
ReplyDeleteI Think they just don't have any invintory.
ReplyDeleteI'm with 149! Have you shopped for ammo and guns recently? There are few bullets to be had, and not many guns either. Everybody is sold out, and nobody wants to sell anything right now! What little is out there is priced through the roof!
ReplyDeleteI disagree! If you look at a list of the vendors and celebrities that pulled out, most were not reliant on sales of AR style weapons. The momentum began when a large portion of the television celebrities from the outdoor shows joined in with their sponsors, archery suppliers, ammunition and armament sales and suppliers of all types of outdoor equipment. It wasn't just the retail gun vendors. Additionally, a large number of the advance ticket sales are requesting refunds for their tickets and there are at least two class action suits ready to be filed against the promoters
ReplyDeleteUmmm...an assault-type weapon ban has not been passed...and likely won't be.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a lawyer, less popular than head lice, to rear their "I'll sue somebody!!" to put a damper on just about everything. But this is exactly what they want to happen. Its not too late for a "Million Man March" on D.C. An ARMED march.

ReplyDeleteDittos!
Correct, 4:42! There has been no recent laws passed, and only a few hastily thrown together monstrously ignorant bills thrown together that will NEVER stick to the wall.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what the reason for this is other than there is no stock on the shelves.
