It's a shame the County can't follow the rules of the City. Clearly this is not the reason why the City/County won the Top 100 Communities in America, RIGHT?
How about the kid on the kid on the bike displaying a little common sense, too! Riding a bike on snow/ice, and, no helmet. There are helmet laws for thoses under 16!
This is a good example why the public needs to "bust up" the cozy intra government relationships between local all the way to Washington. When there's no effort to question authority, you get what Maryland has become. Wink! Wink! Follow the playbook. Not a whole lot different than organized crime. When you have Government employees running for office to represent the citizens, why would anyone expect that their allegiance is anything but towards the interests of Government?
Exactly, I make you pay taxes to provide this surface and we will NOT provide said service and we then will FINE you for not cleaning your sidewalk that you really don't own but have to take care of...
Ireton would have set a good example by getting out there and helping his staff to clear some paths. But, HE didn't!

ReplyDeleteoh my god and where is his coat..its not summer temps and he's in short sleeaves...wow.
ReplyDeleteBuy that guy a coat when he gets sense enough to know one is needed.
ReplyDeleteI think the better suggestion would be to get this guy a helmet instead. Believe me, he's going to need it Downtown.
ReplyDeleteIts a shame that a kid has to risk injury on a public sidewalk especially downtown where the mayors office is, shame on the Mayor.
ReplyDeleteHe has a helmet on. The one God gave him. About six feet to his right the road is clear and dry.
ReplyDeleteLooking for a part of the mayors $16.000.000.00

ReplyDeleteThere's no reason why this has not been cleaned up before it melts for free. What a waste.

ReplyDeleteAs long as ALL the politicians get there pay cks every 2 weeks they couldn't care less about you and your services.
ReplyDeleteThe County is to stupid to kick the City out of the building so whose responsibility is it anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe County should have it's own office building and the City should have it's own office building.
Either that or dissolve the City charter and let the County take over.
Looks like a clean cut kid going to work and making an effort in life, what are you doing Mayor Jim.
