Hey Mr. Albero,
I've been away for a week and upon my return I nearly needed paramedics to revive me after reading about all of the nonsense that is going on down in Salisbury! I know its probably not funny as you're caught in the middle of it, but its all so ridiculous. You seem to be the only one who is acting like a sane person. Are you sure you want to run for mayor of that circus?? Either way ... The more this story evolves, the more it proves that you've been pretty spot on about the city, the Daily Times and all the fruitcakes in between.
On a lighter note, I was in OC a few weekends ago for the air show and saw a few Albero for Mayor tshirts in the crowd which was pretty cool, and even wore mine for a night on the boards! Keep up the good fight!
Publisher's Notes: This is one of many letters I have received in support of the recent issues taken place last week. While we have reported on recent turn overs at the Daily Times, you cannot dismiss the thought of this alleged "spoof" phone call. Could the Mayor himself made a call from Carmean's phone as a pre planned spoof? What I can tell you and what I have always stood firm ground on was, I spoke to Jim Ireton for 7:38 seconds that Saturday night. Remember, I'm NOT the only one who identified the Mayor's voice that evening when I received the call.
A local Judge stated years ago in the Chief Webster case that Joe Albero IS Main Stream Media. He went on to say I was not protected by the Shield Law because I hadn't taken an income from Salisbury News. That has since changed and I made very sure I took what was necessary to protect myself from ever having to reveal my sources. That is what the Shield Law is for. That being said, My rights and Your rights have absolutely 100% been violated. When our Mayor and public officials abuse their power every time one of us disagrees with them, we no longer live in a free society. This is the kind of crap you'd see in Moscow!
That being said, I have told you I do not visit ANY of the other local Blogs but I do get word from time to time what is being said. That being said I'm reaching out to those Blog Owners to THINK about ANY posts they may consider publishing disagreeing with my stance on this matter. I do so openly because their rights are also being violated and that goes for the entire Main Stream Media outlets as well.
I take what I do very seriously. I have been surrounded in the past by MD State Police, Salisbury City Police, Wicomico Sheriff's Deputies, WBI, the States Attorney and Sheriff Mike Lewis all at one time demanding I turn over information leaked to me, I refused. As much as I respected Mike Lewis at the time, I refused to turn over that information. Just because one of their own had allegedly forwarded me information, that was their problem, not mine. A source is a source and there was NO proof the information I had received came from a Police Officer. Ultimately they found it did not come from a Police Officer. I'll add, I was surrounded by ALL of these law enforcment officers and leaders at an event whereas one of our local soldiers were returning from overseas and they knew I'd be at the airport. They were NOT there to receive and welcome that soldier.
I/We should not stand for this kind of abuse from our local leaders. YOU, (and I mean ALL forms of media) should stand by my side 100% on this matter as you too can end up as a victim. Once the Police/Mayor start violating your rights, WE as Media are done.
All that being said, thank you for your continued support. Remember the MAIN thing here, I am a VICTIM of this whole thing. I didn't cause it and it could have ALL been resolved with a simple phone call or text message a few Sunday's ago from the Mayor saying he was OK. His choice to NOT respond speaks volumes. No matter our political differences, Mayor Ireton has never not returned a phone call or text from me. Not being allowed to access the recent Press Conference, even as a victim also speaks volumes. That should tell you enough about this matter.

The Saga Continues As Sarah Lake Calls Last Night
At 9:16 last night Sarah Lake of the Daily Times, (since she's still on their employee list) called me with multiple obscenities, all witnessed by at least 20 people.
The call came in and we were joking as soon as the phone rang, well, its either the Mayor or the Daily Times. I flipped open the lid as I didn't recognize the number and a woman who identified herself as Sarah Lake called me a piece of shit and to go F%ck myself.
Funny, this morning I put up a comment that came in stating they hoped those employees that lose their jobs sue me. ME? Why don't these jackasses stop harassing me. Why doesn't the Daily Times get control of their employees.
I told Mrs. Lake I had nothing to say to her and don't you ever call me again, I hung up. Everyone sitting there listening to this call simply couldn't believe what they were hearing.
At that point I made an immediate call to Chief Barbara Duncan who did not answer the call, nor have I heard from her as of 9:30 AM. These people are sick in the head. They caused the alleged problem and they want to call me and harass me, acting as if I had done something wrong. Unbelievable!
America's Oil Supply Getting 'Kidnapped'?
There are the pirates who plunder, steal and kidnap. There also are
the kidnappers who want to make a political statement or cash in on a
ransom. And there are attacks just for the sake of violence.
These are among the dangers that international energy production companies are facing – in addition, of course, to the drilling hazards and other technical obstacles to retrieving and bringing to market energy products.
That’s according to an interview with two international energy industry experts published by OilPrice.com

Rubio: Obama Not Serious About Immigration; Using It For Election Year Politics
When President Barack Obama announced his administration would not deport illegal immigrants under 30 years of age who came to the country as children, he “bigfooted” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who had been working behind the scenes in Congress on immigration and was ready to introduce his DREAM Act-lite bill.
In more ways than one, Obama’s action was a political
ploy, designed to cater to Hispanic voters while blunting the influence
of Rubio. At a Christian Science Monitor breakfast on Thursday, Rubio
said if Obama were serious about immigration reform, he or his advisers
would have consulted with him instead of essentially undercutting his
bill that was in the works.
“If you’re really serious about finding a solution to this problem, don’t you work with the people who are interested in this?” Rubio said, in comments picked up byThe Hill.
Huckabee: Obama Promised Young Voters ‘Pie in the Sky, and They Got Pie in the Face’
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said Saturday the young people who
turned out in droves to vote Barack Obama into office were promised
“pie in the sky” — but what they got was “pie in the face.”
Commenting on a recent Fox News poll that pegged young voters’ support for Obama about 10 points below its 2008 level, the Fox News host said it’s not surprising they might feel disenfranchised.
“A lot of these kids who were all excited about Barack Obama four years ago either got out of college or they’re in college now,” Huckabee said during Fox News’ “Fox & Friends Weekend.“ ”What they’re finding, they’re $45,000 on average in student debt when they got out of school and they can‘t get a job and they’re moving back in with mom and dad. That’s not exactly the hope and the change they were looking for.”

Old Senate Chamber Restoration Effort Needs Your Help
Check grandma’s attic. Flip through that old photo album. Scrape the bottom of that long-forgotten desk drawer.
Historians are seeking the public’s assistance in piecing together the elements that went into creating the Old Senate Chamber in the State House. The room where George Washington impressed the whole civilized world by resigning his commission as commander of the Continental Army — rather than declaring a dictatorship — needs renovation.
The archivists, historians and architects charged with restoring the room to the way it was on that momentous day in December 1783 are seeking old photographs, picture postcards, drawings, documents (including diary entries) or artifacts that depict or describe the room’s original architecture and materials.

Michigan Pro-Lifers Derail Abortion Mill Plans
Planned Parenthood officials in Michigan apparently have given up on
plans to open an abortion business at an Auburn Hills building they
bought for some $700,000 several years ago and have offered the
structure either for sale or rent.
That’s according to the Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, which had battled the abortion industry giant’s plans to open the business in their neighborhood.
“This was the specific task we had before us, and we prevailed! That Planned Parenthood, one of the largest abortion providers in Michigan, would agree not to perform abortions in this 17,000-square-foot building is a huge victory for the right-to-life cause,” said Monica Migliorino Miller, director of CPLS.

32-Pound, 10-Year-Old Found Locked in Mo. Closet
A Kansas City woman was charged Saturday with abusing her 10-year-old
daughter who weighed just 32 pounds when she was found locked in a
closet that reeked of urine.
The 29-year-old woman faces charges of assault and child abuse and endangerment in Jackson County Circuit Court. The Associated Press is not naming the mother to protect the child's identity. Prosecutors are requesting that bond be set at $200,000.
Officers freed the girl after responding Friday morning to a call to a child abuse hotline. Neighbors told police that they didn't know the malnourished child taken from the public housing complex even lived there.

I'm Looking For Someone Who Has A History Of Raising Animals
Yesterday I had noticed a cat that had been dropped off on our property recently much thinner than it had been when I saw it last weekend. Since she was so thin to start with we wondered if she was pregnant, now we know.
Yesterday after seeing her I knew I'd have to start searching for where she might be raising them. It didn't take long before I heard the little squeals from kittens. When I raised the car cover, there they were all bundled together. However, the mother was nowhere around and the kittens were extremely cold to the touch.
I picked them up and brought them inside and cut off the umbilical cord to each one of them. I started them on a bottle and formula but let's be real, these guys will need some serious attention so I'm reaching out to our viewers for someone who might be able to assist. I did call some of my contacts from the Humane Society but they said they couldn't think of anyone who could help me.
I'm a sucker for the underdog. Many people said last night they seriously doubted these little guys would make it, (from past history) but I like those kind of odds. They need to be fed every 2 or 3 hours and while I can do it, I know there's someone out there with that special touch that could enjoy the wonders of raising such babies.
The mother has completely abandoned them and they need a new mommy. Even if you have someone who's recently had a litter that might adopt these little guys, that would be great.
If you or someone you know would be interested in giving it a shot, give me a call at 410-430-5349 or send me an e-mail at alberobutzo@wmconnect.com.
14-Year-Old Shoots Armed Intruder While Babysitting His Younger Siblings in Phoenix
A 14-year-old boy shot and nearly killed an intruder who broke into
his Phoenix home and pulled a gun on him while he was watching his three
younger siblings, police said Saturday.
The teen and his siblings, ages 8, 10 and 12, were at home alone when a woman rang the doorbell on Friday. A common enough occurrence, the boy still chose not to open the door because he didn’t recognize the woman.
Quickly escalating into a far more dangerous situation, the 14-year-old rushed his siblings upstairs after he heard a loud bang on the door, grabbing his father’s handgun on the way.

Are Billions of Medicare Dollars Going to Castro's Cuba
The same federal government that wants to take over the U.S. healthcare system may also be the same federal government who is unwittingly funneling billions of Medicare and Medicaid dollars to Castro’s Cuba.
So worry Sens. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Tom Coburn (R-OK), and Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) in a letter to Marilyn Tavenner, head of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid. From the Washington Examiner:
“Clearly, the program vulnerabilities that facilitate billions of dollars to be stolen from the Medicare program each year also allow for some of that money to be funneled to foreign countries,” the three congressmen said.
“While the fraud itself is unacceptable, the loss of American dollars to foreign countries because of flaws in our system is totally unacceptable. The American people deserve the peace of mind to know that federal officials are doing everything they can to safeguard taxpayers’ dollars and the Medicare program.”
“Thus far, it does not appear that CMS has addressed the concept of nominee owners, false storefronts, and shell companies in any of its enrollment regulations or its Provider Screening statement of work,” they said.

Bullying of Teachers More Damaging in Online Era
The bullying that bus monitor Karen Klein endured on a ride home from an
upstate New York school was painful and egregious, but also shows how
student harassment of teachers and administrators has become more
spiteful and damaging in the online era.
Much attention has been paid to students who bully students in class, after school and on the Internet. Less has been given to equally disturbing behavior by students who harass instructors, principals and other adults.
It's something that's long existed; think ganging up on the substitute teacher. But it has become increasingly cruel and even dangerous as students get access to advanced technology at earlier ages.

Why the Elite Hate Adam Sandler
If you didn’t get the Memo to hate Adam Sandler, his new movie That’s My Boy
would seem another likable, if minor, entry in his continuing series of
unexpectedly challenging human comedies. The anti-Sandler Memo is a
follow-the-leader pact–not literally a missive but an unconscious social
ideology that protects Hollywood’s status quo. It perverts honest,
healthy response to Sandler whose comic tendency is to affront the
status quo in film after film. His spoofing of political correctness and
middle-brow propriety is the real reason behind all the haterade which
became ridiculous after last year‘s ingenious, heartfelt Jack and Jill provoked an endless backlash of unprecedented lunacy and vitriol.
It’s payback because Sandler isn’t a bullyboy comic like Sasha Baron Cohen. Sandler looks at class embarrassment, a concept our cultural elite disdains but that his films trace to social and family relations (i.e.. personal responsibility). In That’s My Boy Sandler portrays blue collar slob Donny estranged from his yuppie son Todd (Andy Samberg). This looks like a Jerry Lewis stunt although the situation mostly recalls an ’80s father-son class comedy like the Tom Hanks-Jackie Gleason Nothing in Common. But screenwriter David Caspe’s burlesque approach throws it off kilter with a prologue that sets the story‘s crazy-comedy tone: Teenage Donny became a legend when he had sex with his high school math teacher (Eva Amurri) who was convicted for statutory rape and gave birth to Donny’s son in prison.

Hurricane Agnes Devastated Region 40 Years Ago
One of the most devastating storms in U.S. history came slowly up the
east coast in late June 1972 and hit the Mid-Atlantic region hard,
dropping 14 inches of rain from June 20 to June 23.
Rivers and creeks dramatically overflowed their banks. Portions of I-95 were flooded with water. The lower part of the National Zoo was inundated by Rock Creek. The Potomac breached its banks and saturated lower Georgetown. Main Street in Laurel was under the water of the Patuxent River.
Before the water receded, 34 people had died in Virginia, Maryland and D.C. Many of them were trapped in cars by raging flood waters.
